Academic Exchange Club is a type of sister-school exchange program. We meet with three other schools in the area to explore creative thinking, problem solving, and teamwork activities. We meet at McGee once or twice a month to prepare for meets.

Investigators (CSI)
|
This highly entertaining and scientific after school program allows you to think and act like a crime scene investigator. You will learn about how to collect and analyze a variety of evidence (fingerprint, handwriting,, blood, shoe print, and fiber analysis – to name a few) as well as how to use these skills in order to help solve crimes. If you’ve ever dreamed of becoming a CSI, then this is the club for you!

Photography Club

Open to students in grades 6, 7, and 8. Members of the General Photography Club will explore concepts in photography and will participate in activities designed to develop and improve photography skills. This club is supported by a Moodle group to allow exploration to extend beyond club meeting times.

This club will be co-sponsored by the Kensington Garden Club with possible additional help from the Senior Center, UpBeat, and the scouts. The club is open to any student who makes and honors a commitment to participate positively in club activities. The purpose of the club is to share the enjoyment of gardening, learn about gardening, and provide a service to McGee by designing, planting, growing, and maintaining the McGee garden and assisting teachers in preparing garden-related activities for their classes.

Upbeat Adventurer’s Program

The McGee Upbeat Adventurer’s Program provides students with the opportunity to develop and strengthen leadership decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills, and increase self-awareness. During a three-day camping trip, students will participate in a variety of team building, rope course, and cave exploring activities that are designed to be both challenging and fun. Yearbook Club
|
Students will work cooperatively to coordinate aspects of planning, production and selling of the yearbook. Members must have Period H time available during a rotation, as there are yearbook tasks will be completed during Period H. It is important that members be able to stay after school for meetings. Students are needed for tasks including selecting, sorting and uploading photos, layout work, sales/distribution, and applying student names to photos. Student artists are also strongly encouraged to join. All photography needs will be handled by McGee Photographers.
