Dear Parent/Guardian:
The administration and faculty of McGee School invite you to attend our spring Parent-Teacher Conferences on the following dates:
Wednesday, March 19, 2008 1:15 – 3:45 p.m.
Wednesday, March 26, 2008 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.
The evening conference date (Wednesday, March 26th has been arranged for parents/guardians who are not able to meet with teachers during the afternoon conference hours. If you are able to meet during the daytime (Wednesday, March 19th), please select this option. This will allow as many parents as possible, who truly have no other time available, to meet with teachers in the evening.
Conferences will be scheduled based on your child’s ILA teacher. Each ILA teacher will be paired with either the math or the social studies and science teachers. A written report created by teachers not present at the conference will be provided for you at the conference. We encourage you to bring your child with you to the conference. Enclosed is the form for you to use in requesting a conference. Please review the options, and indicate the date(s) that you will be available to meet with your child’s teachers. We will do our best to accommodate your requests. If you choose not to have a conference at this time, please check that option.
All conference sheets must be signed and returned, whether requesting a conference or not.
In addition to meeting your child’s core team teachers, we encourage you to schedule a conference with one or more of his or her exploratory teachers (Art, Band, Health, etc.). There is a place for you to check off the exploratory teachers with whom you would like to meet.
CONFERENCES WILL BE SCHEDULED FOR 10 MINUTES IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER:
1. The attached form should be returned to your child’s Science teacher, Mrs. Carpenter, at your earliest convenience.
2. Requested days will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
3. The team will schedule the conference including the time, date, and room number.
4. Your scheduled conference form will be returned to your child at our earliest convenience.
5. Should Team 8B’s scheduled conference slots become filled, we will make every effort to hold a conference with you at a mutually convenient time.
