PTO

Another school year has sped by. It was a busy, fun, and productive year for the PTO. We kept major fundraisers down to just a few, continuing some that have been successful in years past (gift wrap and Yankee Candle) and trying new ones (scrip gift cards and the Unfundraiser). We also had several FUNraisers such as the book fair, movie night, and Court Jesters. In total we raised approximately $13,000. We also took time to show McGee staff our appreciation for all they do for our children. The PTO hosted a staff breakfast during teacher appreciation week in May. In June, we partnered with the Student Government to hold a free car wash for staff during school hours … although at times it was hard to tell if it was the cars that were getting washed or the students!

 

Because of our successful fundraising efforts, the PTO was able to donate $10,000 back to McGee School … $4,000 for science lab equipment last October, and another $6,000 toward mobile computer lab equipment which will be purchased soon. Thank you McGee families and staff for your generous support! And thank you to the many parents who gave their time chairing or volunteering at events. Without you, none of this would have been possible.
