PTOAttention 8th Grade Parents A Parent Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 03/18, at 6:30, in Rm. 105 for the 8th Grade Party. Please plan to attend!!! Movie Nights Eighth grade movie night is Friday, February 26th. For only $3 students enjoy a movie (Aliens in the Attic), popcorn, water, and candy … what a bargain! The movie starts 6:30 pm and is scheduled to end around 8:10 pm. Seventh graders, stay tuned for a date for your movie night, coming soon. Thank you to Big Y, Price Chopper, and Stew Leonard’s for donating gift cards to help support our movie nights and keep costs so low! Unfundraiser What is an “Unfundraiser”? It’s an opportunity for McGee families to support the PTO! The Unfundraiser is a direct giving campaign where every penny donated directly benefits McGee School. (With a typical fundraiser, we only keep 25 to 50 percent of what you spend.) Like all money raised by the PTO, proceeds directly support McGee School, benefiting all students and staff. What is purchased will be determined at a future PTO meeting based on suggestions by the McGee administration. To be involved in the decision, please attend the next few PTO meetings. Our goal is to raise an average of $20 per student, which is less than most families spend on traditional fundraisers. If you like the Unfundraiser idea, feel free to donate more! Letters regarding the Unfundraiser were sent home prior to February break. Feedback received so far has been positive, with many comments about what a great idea the Unfundraiser is. If successful, the Unfundraiser will replace the need for a spring fundraiser. If you’re as excited about this new option for supporting the McGee PTO as we are, please make your check payable to “McGee School PTO” and return it with the form below.

Court Jesters Comedy basketball is coming back to Berlin! Come see the Court Jesters take on the “Faculty Dream Team” on Monday, March 22nd in the Berlin High School Gym. Flyers with more information and a ticket order form will be sent home with students soon. This is a game you won’t want to miss! Bill’s Pizza Night The next Bill’s Pizza Night is scheduled for Tuesday, March 30th. Take a night off from cooking and support the PTO and our students. More information, including a menu, will be attached to progress reports, which are scheduled to be distributed March 16th. Stop & Shop A+ Bonus Bucks Through March 25, 2010, use your Stop & Shop card to earn cash for McGee each time you shop at Stop & Shop. All you have to do is register your Stop & Shop card to support McGee Middle School; simply log on to www.stopandshop.com/aplus (use school ID 06154). Roger’s Receipts McGee Middle School is participating in the Educational Edge Program. Please help us earn free educational equipment by collecting register receipts from Roger’s Marketplace. Receipts dated October 23, 2009 to April 24, 2010 are eligible. You may deposit receipts in our drawer at Roger’s, or have your child bring them to school in an envelope or zip loc bag labeled Roger’s Receipts ... Attention: Angie Zima.
